How did you decide to work for HIOBS?
There was no question that HIOBS was a place that I wanted to work when a friend presented the opportunity to me. HIOBS was the perfect storm for all my interests professionally and personally – the outdoors, education, marketing and sales.
What is your role at HIOBS (what do you do)?
I market and sell Custom Programs to groups, not only school, educational, and community groups, but groups coming from for-profit companies. So I work with a wide range of people from headmasters, to school administrators, to HR professionals and presidents in multi-billion dollar multi-national companies.
What do you like best about working for HIOBS?
The people I work with and the educational program we provide for society.
What is your favorite or funniest HIOBS memory?
Barbara Fiore captaining one of the rafts at an annual Greenville Farm staff fun-day screaming her lungs out telling everyone to paddle hard towards (rather than away from) a massive hole. Needless to say we hit it square on. Followed that night by one of the funniest pig roast auctions MC’d by the infamous Dan Elliott.
Choose one word to sum up HIOBS.
Passionate
When you are not at work, what do you enjoy doing (what are your hobbies)?
Almost anything outdoors – running, riding, pond-skating, skate-skiing, telemark skiing, mtn biking, hiking, backpacking, canoeing …
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I’ve traveled in more than 30 countries and am a competent ballroom dancer.
What is unique or interesting about OBP and custom programs?
Whenever I have a chance to speak with any of the Custom Program staff about their history in the business, I’m amazed at the breadth and depth of their knowledge. I’m in awe of the educational foundations for these easy going facilitators.
