COURSE OVERVIEW

Course Number

HWP9-961

Date

August 29, 2019 - September 27, 2019

On our Pathfinder expeditions, you will learn and practice the geometry of navigation, the choreography of rowing, the science of sailing, the good habits of living simply, the self-discipline of keeping equipment organized and ready, and the essential arts of forming a positive community. Every lesson of every day expands your awareness, requires goal setting and decision making, and rewards perseverance.

Come learn in a different environment. Many young adults’ lives are so filled with pressures and expectations that it’s difficult to find time to do things for personal growth. Our Pathfinder courses are the perfect opportunity to unplug, get a fresh perspective, learn by doing and take on new responsibilities and challenges. Discover new strengths, forge new friendships and explore future directions and possibilities. No previous experience is necessary—all wilderness skills are taught from the beginning.

You will only need to be physically fit and motivated to live, learn and work in a team.

The abilities formed through learning these expedition skills will serve you at home, at school or work, and prepare you for the next challenge of life.
