Participants are responsible for getting to and from the base on Big Pine Key. Course start: Sunday, March 8 at 4:00 pm Course end: Thursday, March 12 at 10:00 am. Participants will be responsible for getting back to the airport to return home.

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS:
By Car: Big Pine Key is approximately 133 miles and 2 hours 45 minutes south of Miami off of Route 1. *Follow US-1 South to Wilder Road in Big Pine Key, turn right on Wilder Road for 1 mile, turn left on SouthSt for .1 mile, turn right on Avenue B for .5 mile, continue onto State Road 4A for .2 mile, continue on Watson Blvd, Hurricane Island Outward Bound base camp will be on the right.Driving from the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport:
Get on I-595 W from Terminal Drive. Take FL-91 S/Florida’s Turnpike and Ronald Reagan Turnpike to N US 1 S/NE First Ave in Florida City. Take the US-1 exit from Ronald Reagan Turnpike. Take US 1 South to Big Pine Key. Follow directions above.*
Driving from the Miami Airport: Exit the airport and take the Le Juene ramp toward 836. Then look for Florida’s Turnpike, South. Take US 1 South to Big Pine Key and turn right on Wilbur Road, follow directions above.*
Driving from the Key West and points South Take Route 1 North for approx 33 miles to Big Pine Key, turn left on Wilder Road and follow directions above.*
Traveling by Plane: The nearest major airports are in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, FL. The Key West Airport also has jet and commuter flights from many major airports in Florida. Bus and/or shuttle service is available from both Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Key West is 45 minutes (32 miles) South of Big Pine Key. Miami/Ft. Lauderdale is 3 hours North of Big Pine Key.
